After completing my master’s degree, I was excited to begin a career that combined my skills in media and marketing with my interest in innovation. Joining NLO has been an inspiring step, offering the chance to support innovators and protect ideas while growing within a professional and collaborative environment.

What immeditaly stood out to me, was NLO’s unique combination of being a large organization with a surprisingly close-knit and welcoming culture. From the very start, I felt at home thanks to the warmth and support of my colleagues. The application process reflected the company’s professionalism and eye for detail, and the process was smooth, transparent, and impressively quick. While many companies take weeks to respond, NLO offered clarity and a positive outcome within just a few days.

Now that I’m here, I can honestly say the reality of working at NLO has exceeded my expectations. The role is far more flexible than I imagined, offering freedom to explore ideas and adapt strategies within our team.There’s a real openness to exploring new ideas, adapting strategies, and contributing to meaningful projects. NLO encourages learning by doing, and I’ve been able to see firsthand how my work impacts the broader organization.

I’ve been able to utilize my design expertise, which wasn’t a requirement for the role, but has allowed me to grow and the organisation to utilise. NLO recognizes and nurtures talents, ensuring employees can grow and contribute meaningfully.

The NLO Academy is a fantastic resource for skill development and exploring other departments and processes. Beyond professional growth, NLO also supports personal development and community involvement. For instance, I will participate in a life-aid course in the near future, and NLO also facilitates opportunities to give back to local communities. That kind of holistic support speaks volumes about the company’s values.

One of the most inspiring aspects of NLO is the loyalty of its workforce. Many colleagues have been with the company for 20, 30, or even 40 years. Some have even returned after exploring other career paths, drawn back by the exceptional work culture. This longevity highlights the deep sense of belonging that NLO fosters.

Additionally, the company embraces diversity in every form, in terms of backgrounds and experiences but also in thought and perspective. This culture of “diversity of thought” allows different viewpoints to come together, both valued and combined for the best outcome
