NLO has been fortifying inventions, trademarks and designs for over 138 years and, as of 2025, NLO and Ipsilon have joined forces as two of Europe's most specialised intellectual property firms. Together we are building a broader European presence with enhanced international reach. In 2027, we will move fully to the Ipsilon name. You will be joining a firm with a clear direction for the future.

When you work at NLO, you work at one of Europe’s most specialised intellectual property firms. Together with Ipsilon, we help clients protect and strengthen their innovations, trademarks, and designs on a global scale. That means applying for, obtaining, defending, and maintaining patent, trademark, design, and copyrights for clients in all kinds of industries. At NLO we believe this work goes beyond prosecution. Our attorneys build real partnerships with their client, think along with them, and look for solutions that deliver added value. That is the kind of work you will be part of here.

Within NLO we work with more than 200 colleagues. The average age is forty-four and the ratio of men to women is 40 to 60. NLO is a mix of different people and cultures, with employees of over twenty different nationalities.

Currently we have employees of over 20 different nationalities. NLO is a homebase where all employees feel welcome to work and develop. NLO is headquartered in The Hague and has offices in Amsterdam, Eindhoven and Ede.
